LexYouth First Teacher Appreciation Event

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, LexYouth successfully held the first youth-teacher appreciation event in Lexington Hastings Park. Many youth teachers, students and their parents, as well as the staff of LexYouth and CALex participated in this activity.

During the event, LexYouth staff gave prepared gifts to the LexYouth teachers, to express appreciation and encouragement for LexYouth teachers who use their spare time to give back to the community through tutoring.  The students’ families were also invited to participate in the event to express their appreciations to the teachers for their hard work with thank you cards and small gifts.

Through this activity, many youth teachers meet for the first time, get to know each other, and become friends through face-to-face communication.  The teachers also enjoyed playing volleyball and other outdoor activities in the lovely weather.  In addition, LexYouth Staff, teachers, students, and parents also had a good opportunity to discuss the program.  Teachers shared their opinions and suggestions. Teacher leadership team discussed how to enhance the program with training programs and social activities among teachers and students.  A shared understanding among all is that the LexYouth program needs to be diversified and should strive to serve the needs of more underserved student communities.

No regrets if you missed this event.  LexYouth plans to provide more training and social activities for LexYouth teachers.  We look forward to your participation next time!

LexYouth Learning Program

The LexYouth Learning Program is a non-profit program sponsored by CALex.  By attracting and training youth teachers from multiple disciplines, it provides a high-quality peer-to-peer exchange and charity service platform for the majority of primary and middle school students who need in-class subject guidance and extracurricular interest training. It aims to help young teachers grow, give back to the community, and provide teachers with the skills and experience to become future leaders.

If you want to use your dominant discipline or expertise to help the peers; if you want to participate in charity activities and accumulate charity service time; if you want to exercise and improve leadership; if you want to cultivate responsibility and altruism; if you want to meet and build a good friendship with outstanding peers, please join LexYouth faculty team.

If you encounter problems in class study and need help, whether it is reading, writing, Chinese, mathematics or science; if you want to learn new skills, whether it is chess or computer; if you want to meet talented peers and learn from their successful experience, please join LexYouth as a student member.

We welcome you to find out more about our program and consider joining us. Registration link:
