2021 Lexington ReDiscovery Day

CALex and LexYouth participated in the Re-Discovery Day in Lexington. CALex not only actively speaks for the interests of the Chinese citizens of the United States, especially those in Massachusetts, but also actively participates in the construction of the community and school district.

Inspire•Lead•Grow, LexYouth aims to cultivate young people's communication skills, leadership and perseverance character. The vigorous LexYouth has attracted nearly 100 youth volunteers since its establishment one year ago. They have accumulated nearly 2,000 hours of service to the community and donated more than $5,000 to the community. In order for the long-term and diligent volunteers to be recognized, we are applying for the President’s Volunteer Service Award for them.

CALex has two booths, one for CALex and one for LexYouth in Depot Square. They are in the central location. Although we booked two booths, the space is still a bit crowded. After a busy day, the event ended successfully. Thanks to the excellent teamwork of the organizers and their teams. The younger generation is particularly brilliant. A high school girl took the initiative to buy chocolates for distribution. Around noon, CALex and LexYouth flyers were almost run out. Another high school student was also very helpful. He distributed the flyers and introduced LexYouth at the same time. Several high school and junior high school students stayed until the end from 10 o'clock. They were amazing in helping us.

After a busy day, the event ended successfully. Thanks to the excellent teamwork of the organizers and their team. A teacher at LexYouth made a beautiful poster by himself. Several young people came to volunteer and were very happy. It's great to see the young people so engaged, they have indeed taken a major role in helping us.
