CALex Hosted Public Writing Seminar
On Sunday, October 21, 2018, CALex hosted the 1st community educational seminar on public writing seminar at Lexington Cary Library. Michelle Gao, a Harvard second-year student, Harvard Crimson columnist and Editorial Board member gave a great talk.
CALex Hosted 5 State Rep. Candidates Forum
On Saturday, June 9, 2018, CALex hosted a candidates forum with all five candidates of State Rep. of Middlesex 15th district (Lexington & Woburn) and Chinese American community.
CALex Compiled After school Programs
In early June, 2018, CALex collected and compiled a list of over 30 service providers for after school classes and extracurricular programs including academic study, art, music and various sport activities, which makes it easier for parents to find out kid activities, especially for families who are new in Lexington and parents whose kids just start school.
CALex Hosted School Volunteering Seminar & Compiled After school Programs
On Sunday, May 13, 2018, CALex hosted an informational seminar on Volunteering at Lexington Public Schools at Cary Library.
CALex for 2018 Patriots’ Day Parade
On Monday, April 16, 2018, CALex completed all the preparation for 2018 Patriots’ Day parade which was cancelled due to weather.
CALex Attended “Demographics & Diversity: Retail and Business in Lexington”
On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, CALex was invited to a conversation on Demographics & Diversity: Retail and Business in Lexington at Cary Memorial Building.
CALex Hosted a Chinese New Year Party on March 11, 2018
On March 11, 2018, CALex hosted a potluck dinner and performance party to celebrate Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival.
Lexington’s 5th Annual MLK Day (Jan 15, 2018) of Service
The website at www.lexingtonmlk.org provides plenty activities for the coming Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, including Food, Goods and Cash Donations, Volunteer Activities, and many others. Please check out and participate!
