On August 19th, dozens of LexYouth Volunteers worked together to raise money in the aftermath of the Maui Wildfires. During the morning and afternoon, volunteers walked up and down the streets of Lexington Center, encouraging citizens to raise funds to help Maui rebuild and recover. Through their efforts, they raised over $306.77 for the Maui Strong Fund, which provides needed resources like shelter, food, and financial assistance for people affected by the crisis. With these efforts, LexYouth’s team hopes to support the people of Maui and Lahania while reaffirming their commitment to creating community-conscious youth—willing to actively change the world around them.
All proceeds gathered will be directed toward the MAUI STRONG FUND, managed by the Hawaii Community Foundation. For more comprehensive information. please visit: https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/strengthening/maui-strong-fund
