Here is <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/cn\/community_services\/tmm_seminar\/\">a report in Chinese<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Hosted Public Writing Seminar<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, October 21, 2018, CALex hosted the <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/community\/public-writing-seminar\/\">1st community educational seminar<\/a> on&nbsp;public writing seminar at Lexington Cary Library. Michelle Gao, a Harvard second-year student, Harvard Crimson columnist and Editorial Board member gave a great talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Hosted 5 State Rep. Candidates Forum<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, June 9, 2018, CALex hosted a <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/community\/meet-all-state-rep-candidates\/\">candidates forum<\/a>&nbsp;with all five candidates of State Rep. of Middlesex 15th district (Lexington &amp; Woburn) and Chinese American community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Compiled After school Programs<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>In early June, 2018, CALex collected and compiled a list of over 30 service providers for <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/cn\/community_services\/afterschool\/\">after school classes and extracurricular programs<\/a>&nbsp;including academic study, art, music and various sport activities, which makes it easier for parents to find out kid activities, especially for families who are new in Lexington and parents whose kids just start school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Hosted School Volunteering Seminar &amp; Compiled After school Programs<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, May 13, 2018, CALex hosted an informational seminar on <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/community\/school-volunteering-intro\/\"><strong>Volunteering at Lexington Public Schools<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;at&nbsp;Cary Library.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex for 2018 Patriots&#8217; Day Parade<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, April 16,&nbsp;2018, CALex&nbsp;completed all the preparation for 2018 Patriots\u2019 Day parade which was cancelled due to weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Attended&nbsp;<strong>\u201cDemographics &amp; Diversity: Retail and Business in Lexington\u201d<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, April 3,&nbsp;2018, CALex was invited to a conversation on <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/community\/demographics-diversity-retail-and-business-in-lexington\/\"><strong>Demographics &amp; Diversity: Retail and Business in Lexington<\/strong><\/a> at Cary Memorial Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CALex Hosted a Chinese New Year Party on March 11, 2018<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 11, 2018, CALex hosted a <a href=\"https:\/\/calexma.org\/en\/community\/2018-cny-party\/\">potluck dinner and performance party<\/a> to celebrate Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VBI9SnMUdFQ?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lexington&#8217;s 5th Annual MLK Day (Jan 15, 2018) of Service<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lexingtonmlk.org\">www.lexingtonmlk.org<\/a> provides plenty activities for the coming Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lexingtonmlk.org\/food-goods--cash-donations.html\">Food, Goods and Cash Donations<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lexingtonmlk.org\/volunteer-activities.html\">Volunteer Activities<\/a>, and many others.
